Homemade Essential Oil Bug Spray

The weather is beautiful outside, but dealing with the bugs is not so fun. If you aren’t a fan of store bought bug spray because of all of the chemicals in it, you can make your own with Young Living essential oils for a bargain! Based on the recipe below and current member price of oils, it comes to only $1.28!

Materials and Essential Oils:
  • 2 oz spray bottle (or more, just adjust the drops accordingly)
  • 6 drops of Purification essential oil blend
  • 6 drops of Citronella essential oil
  • Distilled or Purified water

Remember to shake the DIY essential oil bug spray bottle before use and try to keep it out of the heat for too long (it will eventually evaporate).

Dragon Time Essential Oil Blend

Have you heard of the essential oil blend Dragon Time?

If not, this is an excellent one to add to your next Essential Rewards order, or for a regular order if you don’t use ER yet (which you should really get on because you can earn FREE products with it).

So, why is it so amazing?

As stated on the Young Living website, “Dragon Time is a blend of calming and soothing essential oils, including clary sage, which contains natural phytoestrogens – the perfect choice for women’s emotions during special times and needs. Its balancing properties make it a perfect choice for supporting normal, healthy emotions during the female monthly cycle. Dragon Time is recommended for young and mature women.”

Dragon Time is a blend of: Clary sage, Fennel, Lavender, Marjoram, Yarrow, and Jasmine.

I use this instead of other things for “that time of the month” to help. I just put a drop or two on my stomach, legs, and back as needed. I’ve also diffused it during this time as well, so it is a mixture of finding what works for you. If you are looking for a natural alternative for menstrual cramps, PMS, and the other issues with it, this may be an option that you want to try.

If you’ve tried this or have questions, comment here or e-mail me!
